Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (216) 321-7272. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is pizzazzpizza.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 1,003 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in University Heights and suggests consistent service.

University Heights is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and University Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We've had multiple pizzas (thin crust), house salads, chicken parm, eggplant parm, etc. over time. All were sub par. The house salads were good! The pizzas had puddles in the middle of the crust. Not just soft, they were truly soggy, repeatedly. My family used to go there regularly. We're done. (See photo left side of half pizza.)

My boyfriend and I visited around 7pm Monday. We got mild wings and a large pie (with chicken sausage, pineapple and banana peppers on it). The wings were a 7.5/10, they were cooked perfectly but could use more seasoning. The pizza was a 10/10, the dough was soft with a crispy crust and had a solid ratio of ingredients. Also, just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Our server was Griff and he made the dining experience very pleasant. Nice clean restaurant with friendly staff, quick service and a calming atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place!

Food quality was horrible. Wait for 30+ minutes for a COLD pizza, and the pizza dough was definitely old. A frozen pizza would had been better. The frying oil was probably old, too. Zucchini fries tasted bitter, it was also cold. We had only one waitress who took care of the whole one side of the restaurant, who also bartended. Oddly enough, there were a bunch of waiters and waitresses in the back running around, the restaurant definitely feels very disorganized. I want to support local businesses but serving cold food is just a no no. The owner of this place has to do better!

The service is terrific. The food outstanding. We had a pizza with mushrooms & grilled chicken that was loaded with toppings. The cheese tortellini with tomato cream was awesome. The first tortellini that I could actually taste the cheese. The sausage, corn & tomato soup was like nothing I had before. Could easily be a meal.

Tried this local place. I sat in a booth on the bar side of the restaurant (no windows, meh lighting). There is nice outdoor seating and a brighter dining room with booths, tables and high tops. I enjoyed a decent martini but was disappointed with the saran-wrapped focaccia and the iceberg with shredded white cheese that was billed as a side salad. The chicken piccata was an interpretation of the real recipe but was tasty. This is not an authentic Italian place; it is a real Ohio-Italian family joint. Good value for the money. Not a fancy night-out place. Will come again. Note to kitchen: trim the woody end of the asparagus before you cook it. Second visit: Fabulous Gnocchi Abruzzi. Highly recommended. But no one wants to smell Clorox while they are eating. Consider wiping down tables with something odorless.
